Port settings on Websphere 6.1

Checking Port settings on Websphere 6.1 server

1. You can check the AboutThisProfile.txt in the WebSphere profile logs directory
ie /profiles//logs to see what your default port is for HTTPS Transport.  This should be the port the deployed applications are running on.

2. You can also check the SystemOut.log to make sure those ports are binding at startup.

3. You should also be able to log in to the WAS admin console (https://:/ibm/console) (the port for the admin console can also be found in the AboutThisProfile.txt)

Knowing your server Profile

1. From AboutThisProfile.txt in the WebSphere profile logs directory
ie /profiles//logs as shown below

Application server environment to create: Application server
Location: C:\Program Files (x86)_IBM\SDP70\runtimes\base_v61\profiles\AppSrv01
Disk space required: 200 MB
Profile name: AppSrv01

Make this profile the default: True

2. Double click on the server that is up and running. You will find the server profile under "Server" as show below.
