Encountered the following message in the console when i started my websphere 6.1 server.
WSVR0028I: The product has expired.
Please re-install or purchase the product.
Make sure that you possess (have purchased) a valid WebSphere license. Then you can just copy the was.license file from another WAS installation and put it into the directory mentioned above -- it seems to be the same file for different WAS versions and all LUW (Linux, Unix, Windows) Operating Systems.

This message means that the file was.license residing in folder /properties is expired/invalid.
Normally this may happen ONLY when you have installed a trial-version of the product.Make sure that you possess (have purchased) a valid WebSphere license.
